2006-04-07 15:43:55 by IllegallyBlondeMy sister and her husband are very into a cowboy kind of lifestyle. They had a cowboy wedding. The groom and groomsmen wore jeans and boots cowboy hats with tux jackets and carried rifles. The bride wore white cowboy boots under a traditional dress. It was an outdoor wedding at a barn. We ate BBQ off paper plates, took wagon rides, and took pictures on an old rusty tractor. The cake was made by Mike's Amazing Cakes and looked like a big bale of hay with a saddle laying on it.
Now hardly any the guests are into the whole cowboy-country thing. However everybody was extremely gracious and had a great time

I currently live in China but will be going to America in May and will be getting married in Ithica, NY. I want to have a vegan cake and was wondering if anyone knew of a place where i can have this done in New York, preferably close to Ithica. Links to any websites would also be very helpful. I don't know if this website is completely current, but it does have a listing for a vegan friendly bakery in Ithaca, New York. It's called Just Desserts. It appears that Just Desserts has a Facebook presence, but I couldn't find a website. There are other vegan/vegan friendly bakeries that deliver to the NY area, too:

We're planning a Sept 2008 Wedding at Boldt Castle. We would like to have a casual BBQ after. We are not sure on the location yet, will be looking at renting out some cottages and having an outdoor reception. We are o …ouple dances - when we get off the boat- we can all let our hair down and relax.
Any suggestions or contacts would be great. We are planning on visiting the area July 6-8, 2007 to scout things out. Thanks!
If you are looking for excellent BBQ, you can get it at the Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse, NY. They do catering. It's definitly worth a call to find out more. Their pulled pork sandwiches and ribs are to die for!!
